A lot has changed in three years, in my personal and professional life, and that is sometimes reflected in my blogging. When I first started writing Robyn Styles, I posted one to two times a week, and then more and more frequently over the next two years. At one point I was trying to post 4-5 days a week and it just got too much for me, with school and work. Last May I was going through a rough time and stopped posting for about a month. I hadn't completely lost interest in blogging, but I found I didn't have the energy or drive to create content and posts, and last year I didn't even make a post about my blog's anniversary, just a quick shout out on Instagram and the Facebook page.
Slowly, I started getting back into a routine, and found a posting schedule that works for me. I now post once a week, and only if I have good and relevant content, other wise I'll wait for the next week. It's all about finding a groove that fits your life well, and not pressuring yourself to do things you may not have time for or that you don't want to do (forcing myself to put out posts only adds stress to an already hectic daily routine). I really admire those people who have been able to turn blogging into their full-time job, and those who work full-time as well as blog, but that lifestyle just isn't for me right now and I'm happy where I am.
This year I am excited to celebrate three years of Robyn Styles. I've learned to just go with the flow, and I'm excited to see where blogging will take me next, and I can't wait to bring you guys along with me. I wanted to do a little celebratory photo shoot, complete with a tulle dress and balloons, and I must say this is my new favourite shoot I've done for Robyn Styles. Enjoy, and thanks for reading and your continued support! xo
