I've had an obsession with vests for a while now, but I'm either too short to wear them, or it seems they actually went out of style for a little bit (not that that would stop me, I just find it's a bit harder to style when there's not a lot of new inspiration or options). But vests are back in for the season, and in a neutral and classic shade like white, you'll have endless possibilities of outfits. You can dress it up with a black jumpsuit underneath, or throw it on top of a t-shirt and jeans for a more casual look. I also like how it's an extra layer (either for warmth or style), but won't make you too warm because your arms are bare.
2. Fringe Purse Rebecca Minkoff
I feel like I'm always on the hunt for a pink bag, but that's because I haven't come across one that I find is perfect for me yet. Last fall it was a pink bucket bag, and while I didn't find a pink one, my black bucket bag is my daily go-to. This season it's a fringe bag I'm looking for, and I'd love one in pantone's it colour, rose quartz. A fringe bag is a necessary spring/summer piece, and in this hue it would go with literally everything, as light pink is my new favourite neutral.
3. Midi Skirt H&M
As much as I love mini skirts (as per my post last week), I'm also adoring the casual midi skirt. I've been wearing mini skirts for ever, mostly because it's hard for me to find maxi ones that aren't too long for me, and shorter skirts are easier to wear to work. I have a few midis from last year, but they're a bit on the dressier side, and with my love for the boho style, I'm looking for one that I can wear casually in the spring/summer. I have a lot of bright coloured skirts that are typical summer colours, but this season I'm looking for a bit of a darker, muted palette, but that can still be worn in the summer. Even though I haven't been going for very patterned pieces lately, this skirt came in at work and it was love at first site. I love the fringed belt, and all the colours give options what to wear it with, and it's so light and easy to wear.
4. Drapey Trench Coat Club Monaco
I feel like my spring wish lists usually include more than one jacket option. But I feel like for spring there are so many cute outerwear options, and even in my real life I have a ton of spring jackets to choose from. Last year I included a shorter drapey trench in my spring wish list, and while the style of a drapey trench is still very much alive, I'm opting for a longer one this year, as I feel it just adds a bit of sophistication to the look.
5. Statement Shoe Steve Madden
I have a ton of simple and classic shoes (chelsea boots, classic pumps, ankle strap heels, mostly in black, but also a lot of cognac and white), but since my style has become much more minimal, I feel like plain black shoes don't always suffice anymore. I've been looking for a statement heel; mostly one in a spring/summer colour that is a simple style, but will add a pop of colour to my typical jeans and white/black/striped t-shirt combo. And completely out of character, I am loving yellow for this season. The colour has such a nice feel to it, and it really can act as a neutral because it goes with pretty much any colour (I'm especially loving it with light pink and light blue!).
6. Flowy Pants Yoins
While flowy pants usually make me look like I'm wearing pyjamas, with the right top and accessories, a floral pair like this is right on the 70's trend (and pyjamas are actually in style right now), and are so easy to wear for warm weather. Think a basic white or black t-shirt or crop top, and add a denim jacket on a cool night for an extra layer.
7. Off The Shoulder Top H&M
This is another one of those trends that it took me a while to get into, but now that I'm into it, I love it, and I have to have it. We got this shirt in at work a few weeks ago and it's so simple (I especially love the off the shoulder trend with the extra little straps on top; it gives it more of a shoulder cutout look, which I also love), but it is such a beautiful shade of blue that I can wear it in the spring, and right into summer with white denim cutoffs.
8. Long Earrings Noor Fares
Long earring are back on trend this season, and while there are some pretty extreme styles out there right now, I'm still loving a simple look, like these dainty gold ones. They're long enough that you'll see them through your hair, but just dainty enough that they won't take away from your outfit. Unless that's what you want; in which case go for a fringe pair in a bright pop of colour, like orange.
